Clean and simple in appearance, the Tablecraft Cake Stand was a most welcome addition to our kitchen.The base is heavy enough to stay where you put it even with the biggest cake inside and it is stable enough for cutting or slicing. The whole thing is big enough to accomodate most cakes even when on a plate. You can even use a large plate for holding cookies, pastries, or other treats.The plastic top is clean and free of frills and other distractions. Contrary to other comments, it doesn't cheapen any look. It's quality molded plastic that's free from distortions or other visual problems so often seen with plastic. The handle is easy on the hand. And if you want glass, well pay up for something from Swarovski.In a world full of junk, it's nice to find a quality product that not only lets you eat your cake but have it on a stand too!

received as a gift, it sits on my counter top and i keep it filled with sweets (cupcakes, cakes, bar cookies, etc.). it looks like a retro cafe cake stand. I love it.

The Cake stand folks sent very fast! The cake stand itself looks very polished and sturdy. The Cake display portion of the stand the plastic dome cheapens the the quality of the unit. Overall not bad could be better! Seller was very courteous and shipped very fast and responded well on shipping.
