� The top surface size is 14" diameter and stand height is about 6.25" It is plated with expensive nickel metal to give a durable and glittering silver-look finish that will last for years under normal usage conditions. But unlike silver, nickel plating is 100% tarnish-free so you don't have to clean with silver polish again. Embossed with a classic beautiful pattern on the sides, legs, and on the top surface at border. A beautiful hammered design in the center of the top surface.

I am baffled by the other reviews. I bought this for a christening cake I made, and coludn't bring myself to use it. This is NOT a beautiful cake stand . It looks exactly like it does in the photo ( I guess I was expecting the true beauty that was promised) it is made of tin, no "silver" color or shine. It looks cheap and dull. I ended up using a plain wilton cakeboard instead and returning this. Amazon was, as always,very efficient about the return. It also arrived promptly and well packaged ( hence the 2 stars). A simple ceramic cake stand would have looked so much better than this. It is not bargain price either, since it was $54 and looked to be about $12.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gorgeous, you don't expect the intricate detail! Honestly the picture does not do it justice. It's do classy and vintage. Happy! Haven't tried the cake Weight in it yet, but I AM SURE IT WILL BE PERFECT!
