Product Information
Diners used to showcase their freshly baked goods in glass-covered, pedestal cake stands, giving their patrons something to contemplate while they dined on their lunches and suppers. Now you can have the same effect in your home or when you bring a cake over for dinner with relatives and friends!
This classic cake stand is similar to those of yesteryear - a stand made of stainless with a tall plastic lid that keeps your cakes, pastries and pies fresh. Ideal for both storing and serving baked goods, the 2 piece set features a shiny stainless steel plate supported by a classically tiered base.
You can use this diner style cake stand at home to safeguard pies and cakes from hungry kitchen traffic or display it as a centerpiece to keep breakfast bagels and doughnuts fresh.
Pros
- stainless steel stand is 13" diamater and 7" height
- plastic cover is 12" diameter and 8" height

The top for this cake stand is extremely thin and brittle plastic. It was already cracked when it arrived. If I had known how thin and cheaply made this stand was I wouldn't have purchased it.

I have mixed feelings about this cake stand. I do enjoy it for the fact that it is large enough to hold a 10-12" cake and tall enough to cover a multiple layered cake. I like that it is lightweight in both the stand and the lid. But I have noticed that the lid already has developed a crack in it and I have not used it that much and only handwash it. Also, the stand comes in three pieces and you have to screw it together. If you aren't careful you could easily strip the nut and bolt that comes with it when you are trying to tighten it down to keep it from wobbling. Also, because it comes in three pieces there is a screw that goes through the stand that your cake sits on. It sticks up a bit and so food gets stuck around it. I tend to use it only as a display stand and put a plate on top of the stand so I can avoid food getting stuck in the screw. I wish this could have been designed a little bit better.

I had bought one several years ago for my sister but needed one for myself. I make tall cakes and this one can handle 9" 3 layer cakes. My, how pretty my cakes look in it.
