Really lovely...just what I wanted. I use it with the small canape plates by Godinger when having friends over for a "tea party". Plenty of room for the little sandwiches, cakes, and fruit.

Once you get the fantasy out of your mind that anyone's making a high quality cut crystal cake plate at this price point, this is a pretty decent cake stand. Anyone who has ever owned Waterford cut crystal will think of this more as pressed glass than crystal, but for what it is and what it costs, it's okay.I have seen other Godinger pieces (such as the decanter with the square stopper) where the decanter stopper was clearly not horizontal relative to the decanter, so I was looking for that with this stand when it arrived. I don't think it's 100% level relative to the stand, but it's close enough, especially since unless you're stooping you're never going to notice. (If you get one that isn't, you can always return it for another.)That said, the nice thing about it is that the cake plate part is perfectly flat (many aren't when made in glass), with no dip in the center, so your cake can sit perfectly flat and fully supported evenly.When stooping and looking head on at this I don't think the stand where it hits the plate underneath is a very elegant transition, but since you wouldn't see it from that angle when in use it's not a big deal.Altogether this is a decent cake plate at a fair price, but think of it as a pressed glass cake plate with any mold lines sanded well, not a fine crystal cake plate.
