Expensive Cardboard

While the picture looks nice, you must realize this is cardboard. To be fair, the description does say cardboard. My wife ordered this and when it came I could not believe I paid $45 for cardboard. The shipping alone was $15 and the thing might weigh a pound. This is stamped cardboard that might cost $5 to produce if that. I have been buying off Amazon for many years and this is the first time I feel like I got totally ripped off! Save your money and go buy a custom made cake at a bakery!

I knew I was ordering a cardboard cupcake stand. What I thought was that I could decorate it - spray paint it, add ribbon, etc and it would look decent, maybe even look really good. That was not the case.My fiancé and I ended up spending a fair amount of money on the cardboard stand, spraypaint, and ribbon. All this work to try to make it look nice but it all ultimately ended up in the trash. Instead, we decided to try to cut our losses, save the embarrassment of having such a cheap looking cupcake stand at our reception and instead opted to go for two metal and plastic cake stands as a replacement. The replacement stands look so much better and it was cheaper to buy TWO of them than it was to buy this cardboard piece of junk and try to make it look nice.There are much better options out there than this cheaply-made-yet-expensive cardboard cupcake stand. Take these reviews into consideration before buying this product.

All web searches indicated this product could be spray painted. This is false info! The paint smell was so strong and did not fade over the 3 weeks I had it.. causing me to scramble last minute to rent a different cupcake stand for my wedding.
