I purchased this to use as a wedding cake stand for a 12 inch cake and it worked great. I have used it several times now and it seems to fit in with every theme. It's fun, but doesn't stand out too much and is the exact color of chocolate. sooo yummy. it also seems very sturdy and the base is well attached.

This is a beautiful cake stand. My daughter is turning 3 this month and i wnated to throw her a fancy tea party for just the ladies in my family. Ofcourse she is getting her cake and it would NEED a fancy cake stand and this is PERFECT! ITs a little bigger then I thought it would be but will be perfect for future uses as well. Something I always wanted was a beautiful cake stand for myself because I love making cakes and decorating them for special occasions. Oh and just in case some one else would like to know. I bought this with the Rossanna's tea for me too tea set and it matched perfectly. We are going to have such a wonderful tea party!

I have had this product for about 1 yr and of course you are bound to have to wash it right. well, i washed it the black rubber on top started to ripple causing my smoothing spatula to jump and put marks in my surface.When I would raise the spatula so i would miss the ripple and i would miss part of the smoothing. Also the top would lean and then the cake looks uneven when your working on it. I don't mean the the tilting action when i say this. Now i am off to spend another 70.00 on a better quality turn table. I will say that i might use this one again after i glue the rubber back on. Just so i can use the tilting action.

This tilter was purchased for my brother who has a small cake business. He was making an elmo cake and the cake is not perfectly centered and at times can be hard to turn around and frost and decorate. But using this turntable he can tilt it in many angles making it easier for him to do the sides of the cake without making a mess. It also prevents the cake from sliding. A good idea!

Transaction went great; received right away. However, turn table wobbles when turned, no matter what position it is locked into. So I only use it for angled piping and not smoothing the sides down. Disappointed. I don't know if this is standard and all of them do that, or if mine is slightly defective. I definitely would like to know.

I bought this for my girlfriend when she took up cake making. She loves it! The plastic is very thick and sturdy. Doesn't seem like it will ever break. A nice touch having a reversible bottom with rings for keeping cupcakes in place however you can actually fit more if you just put them on the flat cake side. A star off just because its a tad bit small for larger sheet cakes.

When my plate arrived, I was surprised that it is not glass. Perhaps I missed that in product description. Initially, I was somewhat disappointed. But, it didn't take me long to love the plate. It holds very large cakes -- A 9" round, torted cake with flowers on top and around the bottom fit nicely under the cover. I have been looking a long time for something large enough, reasonably price and appealing to the eye for my fancy cakes. This one is just what I needed. The acrylic is very clear and looks like glass; I don't have to worry about breaking it. Because it is not glass, it is not overly heavy once the cake is on it. The only negative is that the cover slides around slightly if you are not careful when you transport the cake.

What happened to this set? The bottom plate appears to be made for a wider dome. I called and was told this is how they are made. So you have an inside plate measurment of 12 5/8 inch and the outside of the dome with 11 1/2 inch size. This makes for a sloppy fit with the dome moving around if you should try and carry it with you to take to someone's home. My older worn out version fit together nicely. I received this as a gift so I will keep it but would recommend looking for a better fitting cake plate with dome if you ever plan on taking it someplace other than just sitting it in one spot.

I never put this together because when I opened the box the packaging had an awful smell. I know this happens sometimes with cheap items made in China. Which brings me to the next point. The acryllic is so thin that it looks like the junkiest cake stand you could possibly purchase.I returned it, which is also a pain. Had to take it to post office to send it back with International delivery to Great Britain. It cost me $11.00 which is half of what the item cost to buy it.
