I am very disapointed. No where in the description did it say this was plastic. I guess its my fault because I "assumed" it was GLASS. Very frustrating because I had ordered it as a Christmas gift for someone and it came on Dec. 23rd so there was no time to return it and get the right one. I had to go buy one somewhere else the day before.

This is exactly as described, but I was afraid it might look cheap because it's plastic instead of glass. No worries, it looks fabulous! Perfect for our RV! Highly recommend this versatile piece to fellow RVers and everyone who needs a durable cake dome, but doesn't want to worry about glass breakage.

I originally put this in my wedding registry but I saw a cheaper one at Bed bath & beyond for only $20. That proved really lucky because now I've found out from reviews that this cake dome is made of plastic. The one at BB&B is glass (brand is Home Essentials). Hope this helps for those looking for a glass cake dome.
