There is a manufacturer fault in this item....bride sent this to me for her wedding cake, and it came in snapped at the stem to base. Thinking perhaps there was a problem once it arrived here, I ordered the exact same one off of Amazon....surprise, surprise, upon arrival, I immediately opened it, and also completely snapped off at the long stem to base. I would not buy this item since I do believe it is a problem from the way it is made....

This cake plate arrived in about 5 different pieces. It wasn't packed well at all. Why would you not take the care to pack something appropriately? Should have been more considerate of other reviews that this company doesn't always ship things well or carefully.

I was very hesitant to purchase this cake plate because of the other low reviews. I ended up purchasing it because I could not locate another affordable 14" square cake plate as well as it was for my daughter's Sweet Sixteen birthday. The cake that she picked out had to fit with these measurements. I figured that if the item arrived broken then I'd just return it to Amazon. When the item arrived it was packed with a large amount of bubble wrap. I thought that it was odd that this item didn't come in its own box and then packed with bubble wrap in an Amazon box. Thankfully the person that wrapped it did a very thorough job. This cake plate is very sturdy, attractive and well made. The party was great too!
