Rosanna's aptly named White collection of pedestal cake stands goes with just about any dinnerware pattern, from flowery to polka dotted to solid. This 10-1/2-inch-diameter stand is the middle of the three sizes, perfectly sized for an 8-inch layer cake, glazed fruit torte, or selection of frosted cupcakes. The stand is designed with a broad, rounded base for good stability, as well as a skirted top that resembles the drape of a lacy tablecloth. Despite its old-fashioned look, the stand is simple enough to complement a more modern table setting. Crafted of durable stoneware, the glossy, all-white cake pedestal is dishwasher-safe, although due to its shape and large size washing by hand is recommended. Because the stand is open stock, it does not come in a gift box. The other two stands in the collection feature different silhouettes, and all three may be stacked for a striking, mix-and-match buffet presentation. --Ann Bieri

This came packaged beautifully in a hat box. I kind of wished I was giving it away as a gift when I saw how neat it was. Now, I just use the hat box for other things.This is very pretty and practical-it looks great in my glass front cupboard and displays my baked goods in all their glory.I wanted it to be cheaper in price but it was worth it, as I see owning this for many years to come.
