I have only used this product a handful of times, but it does make icing a cake much, much easier. The cake turner can also be locked into a stable position and used as a cake stand. My husband really hates the green color, but I find it rather retro. As for cleaning it, the product comes apart easily and reassembles just as easily. I would buy it again as the product does exactly what it claims to do.CassieJWJ

I had never bought a cake turntable before. My cake-decorating instructor advised me to get this one as it raised the cake off the table making it easier to decorate. She was right. I took her advice and was glad I did. It cleans easily and comes apart if I get messy and need to clean inside the turntable as well. The green circle on the turntable is a non-skid surface so my cake board stays in place. It can also be locked in place if you do not want it to turn. If you are looking to purchase a cake turntable for home baking, this is the one. If you are going to make a lot of large cake (like multi-layered wedding cakes) you may want to get a professional turntable. I have not tested it, but I have been told this product will support more than a 200-pound cake. I do not plan on make that large of a cake so I may never know. I am happy with this product and would recommend it for home baking and a must for cake decorating. Works great with pies also.

I just had an opportunity to use this product and was pretty happy with it. I do cakes for friends and family and found it worked pretty good. The only concern I had is this - I bought it because I am doing another wedding cake in 6 weeks and have always wanted one to make it easier to decorate the cakes. I am concerned that after using it to decorate around the edge of a 10" cake, it won't work for anything much large than that. It turned okay, but felt a little stiff from the weight of the cake. I think that any larger and the cake will be too heavy to turn well. That is the only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. I would have liked it to turn a 12" and 14" cake very easily and I don't expect that will happen after doing the 10" do to the increased weight of the cake as it gets larger. If you do cakes that are 8" or 10" then you will probably love this item.
