Having serving platters at various heights makes the table look more interesting and allows for more room. This gadget lets me create a serving plate that matches my dishes, no matter which set I'm using at the time. Love it! Just don't use a plate larger than suggested else it will wobble.

I love this product because it takes up very little room and I can put any of my large plates, platters or bowls on top to give the dish prominence. I just wipe the suction cup and it really sticks. The base is sturdy and heavy so I don't have to worry about it tipping over. As the directions state, you should carry it by holding on to the base to avoid any mishaps where the base may become dislodged. It is porcelain and therefore fairly heavy, which is what you want. I gave one as a gift and it was well-received.

So far this has worked great on all the plates that I have tried. I just tried it on a very bumpy bottomed ceramic plate which I didn't expect it to work...it didn't but it still fit on top nicely due to the weight and size of my ceramic plate. I just couldn't spin it. Worthwhile!
