It is NOT shipped with an outer container and because the stand is styrofoam and the box is the thin cardboard it arrives damaged. We had two shipped and BOTH damaged. This items NEEDS to be shipped using an outer protective box. Be aware it is three styrofoam pieces. It does look great if you hide the damage.

I used this to display 51 cupcakes for my 50th birthday. Everyone complimented the decor and especially loved the cupcake display. Though made of styrofoam and heavy paper, it held up well and can be used more than once, though storage is rather tricky since it cannot be stored flat without disassembling. Great for all kinds of events. Very attractive.
