I just got this cake holder at Macy's, for a little more than the $40 on this web page. Without the shipping charges it came out cheaper, but they were having a "coupon day". It's very heavy crystal and will hold a full sized cake, plus it's reversible, to hold dip and veggies, or punch. It is very attractive, but does have obvious molding lines and a couple bubbles where it was poured. Overall, I'm really in love with it, but I was disappointed to see in tiny print on the very bottom of the box, "Made in China". I have been trying to stay away from Chinese products as much as possible. But it's just what I needed so I will be keeping it anyway.

I received this as a wedding gift a year ago. I thought I would never use it, but it has been my go to salad bowl, punch bowl, cake / pastry stand, and veggie tray. It looks great on the middle of the dining room table, and is relatively easy to clean. I've been giving it as gifts to our newlywed friends. I've seen it for $100 in stores, so Amazon's price is great.

I purchased this as a gift for my Mom. I was very impressed with the quality. Beautiful design and multi functional. Plate and dome are VERY heavy.
