I usually don't purchase products that I can't read reviews for first, however, I took my chances on this one because it had everything I was looking for (plain white without any other colors, high off the table, can hold 12 inch cakes).When I first got it out of the box, I was a little worried because it didn't seem to turn very smoothly and didn't have much on the bottom to keep it from sliding around. So, I baked a cake to try it out ( just a two-layer 9 inch cake) and it worked wonderfully! When this has a cake on it, it does not slide around AT ALL and it turns very smoothly!I have since made several other cakes, including a two tiered cake ( two 9 inch and two 12 inch layers), and this has worked beautifully every time. And since it is plain white, it looks great to present cakes on.

I didn't want to spend a ton on those expensive metal turntables, this was a great choice. I did have to put some anti-slip pad under it on the table though because if I don't it slides while I decorate because it's so light. Love it though, highly recommend for budget option.

This stand is no frills but it does what it's supposed not do. Smooth turning just not very pretty. I like the height of it as its at the perfect level for me whether I stand or sit.
